FsH was founded by corporate housing and co-living companies and private individuals. These three categories had one thing in common: they were all tenants who lacked representation at the negotiating table. This has led to a great loss of rights and an uncertain existence for these tenants. Read more here.
We are a different tenant association than HGF.
We both work to safeguard the interests of tenants in the Swedish rental market, so we hope for opportunities to find cooperation forums, etc. However, we represent tenant interests that HGF has neglected for decades. We also work for more transparency and more fairness in the rental housing market. Our vision is that everyone should have access to rental housing - even if you don't have the right contacts or have been in the housing queue for several decades.
In the labor market, it is a given that different groups have their own organizations – white-collar workers in Unionen, industrial workers in IF Metall, construction workers in Byggnads, teachers in the Teachers’ Union and healthcare professionals in the Healthcare Union. They all have their own voices, adapted to their circumstances. In the rental market, however, all categories of tenants have been expected to be represented by a single, over a hundred-year-old organization: Hyresgästföreningen (HGF). The result has been a large legal and practical vacuum for the groups that are not prioritized by HGF. Our association has grown organically because the interests of our members could not be taken care of at all by HGF.

No, we are non-partisan. For real.
Currently, Föreningen för Sveriges hyresgäster only negotiates with private landlords.
We are a membership organization, which means that members pay an annual fee for their membership. Currently, the annual fee is 100 SEK/year for individuals.
The membership fee is to cover association costs.
